Your Sponsor Retention Plan

Retaining sponsors is just as important as securing new ones.

A strong sponsorship retention plan focuses on three things:
1. Demonstrating value consistently
2. Building genuine relationships
3. Making the renewal decision easy

A simple approach:
• Set clear expectations at the start of the partnership.
• Communicate regularly with updates, photos, and results.
• Deliver every promised benefit.
• Check in throughout the season to gather feedback.
• Recognise sponsors publicly and involve them in club events.
• Share an end-of-season impact report that highlights the return on their investment.
• Start renewal conversations before the next budgeting cycle.

Sponsors stay when they feel valued, informed, and connected to your club—not just when they're asked for funding.
